A civilian cyclist and filmmaker traveled with five veterans on a bicycle trek across the United States in an effort to heal their wounds, reach out to veterans and raise awareness of veteran needs. The 4,200-mile journey began on July 15 in Aberdeen, Wash., and is expected to conclude in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 14, 2012.
The American Academy of Physician Assistants is a proud sponsor of this endeavor, and honoring and recognizing the military roots of the physician assistant profession.
