ELECTIONS

January 13, 2021 By John Western

January 4, 2021
Dear Veterans Caucus Membership,
It that time of the year for Veterans Caucus elections. This year the Caucus will have 4 vacancies for President-Elect, 2 Director at Large positions, and Student Representative. The position terms are noted below. Nomination packages will be accepted and open from February 1, 2021 thru February 21, 2021. The formal election process will be open from February 22, 2021 thru March 26, 2021. Election results will be released April 1, 2021 on the Veterans Caucus website veteranscaucus.org Non-select packages will be destroyed due to sensitive information concerns.
Nomination packages should consist of a Curriculum Vitae, platform letter (why you want to serve, experience, qualifications, etc.), and a color photograph (elected candidate photos will be placed on the Veteranscaucus.org website). Packages are evaluated based on the five areas of scholarship (i.e. academic achievement/research), leadership, service, professionalism, and teaching/mentoring. Please also provide telephone contact information. All applicants must be a member of the Veterans Caucus and in good standing with current membership. Applicants must also be available to travel to the annual American Academy of PAs national conference in May and our annual Topics in the Tropics CME Conference. These two events comprise our semi-annual board of director meetings and charitable events as we continue our charity mission supporting Veteran PA School scholarships and various charities.
President-Elect: 3 year term as the position transitions to President concluding as Past-President, each in 1 year increments.
Director at Large (2 positions): Each is a 2 year term.
Student Representative: 1 year term.
Nominations can be submitted via the Veterans Caucus website at veteranscaucus.org and we ask that you also send an email to plucas@veteranscaucus.org to ensure all nomination packages are received. We thank you very much for your time, willingness to serve, and look forward to your interest and candidacy.

Sincerely,
Pam Lucas, PA-C, MPAS, Lt Col, USAF (Ret)
President-Elect 2020-2021
