If you are eligible to vote in this year's Veterans Caucus Election, you will receive an email with the directions and link for online voting.

President

Pamela A Lucas PA-C, MPAS, DFAAPA Lt Col, USAF, (Ret)

Hello everyone,

I am asking for your vote as your next President Elect. Yes, I was your President several years ago. I have also served as the CME Director for Topics in the Tropics and as a Delegate at Large. I have been a life member of the Caucus for about 20 years now.

I am a retired veteran who served more than 24 years in the military between both the Navy and the Air Force. Besides being the Caucus President, my other leadership experiences include: Squadron Commander in the Air Force, President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Society of Air Force PA’s, a member of the AAPA’s House of Delegates for over 10 years and a member of AAPA’s Nominating Committee.

My goal as your President will be to increase our active membership numbers and to work on getting our members more involved in the Caucus and with the Caucus BOD. I believe our mission is an important one and needs to be continued long into the future and we can’t do this without our members.

I can’t do this without you, so I am counting on your vote to move our Caucus into the future.

Aaron Henry PA-C, MSHS Assistant Professor/ Department of PA Studies

As a former Navy Corpsman with two tours of duty in Iraq, I have dedicated my life to service, both in the military and as a civilian healthcare provider. After graduating from the George Washington University Physician Assistant (PA) program, I have spent nearly 15 years in clinical practice, honing my skills and deepening my commitment to patient care. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor at the George Washington University PA program and am pursuing a PhD in Translational Health Science to further advance my contributions to the field of medicine.

I am passionate about supporting veterans and advancing their education, health, and quality of life. My unique combination of military experience, academic leadership, and clinical expertise positions me to bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the AAPA Veteran Caucus. Ifelected to the Board of Directors, I will work tirelessly to honor the caucus’s mission by fostering mentorship, advocating for veteran PAs, and enhancing opportunities for professional development.

I am committed to building on the firm foundation of the Veteran Caucus while exploring new initiatives that address the evolving needs of our members. Together, we can continue to strengthen our community and ensure that veteran PAs are empowered to advance in their careers and serve as leaders in healthcare. Thank you for considering my candidacy, and I look forward to contributing to this incredible organization.

Respectfully,

I am pleased to be a candidate for re-election as Director at Large on the Board of Directors of the Veteran’s Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Associates. As a long-time Life Member of the Veteran’s Caucus, I have supported the caucus for decades. I attended the second “Topics in The Tropics” and, since then, I have presented nephrology topic lectures at sixteen “Topics” while attending many others.

Additionally, I served as President of the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and am the Founding Vice President of the American Academy of Nephrology Physicians Assistants.

I am running for re-election as I feel that, in this time of renewal within the caucus, I should stay on and work to improve our caucus. I hope to continue working with the President and other members of the board to continue our educational, memorial, and scholarship endeavors. I have watched and been part of the growth of the caucus for decades and wish to continue my contributions toward reaching the caucus’ goals.
