The School of Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University Nevada is currently accepting applications for a full-time PA faculty. Touro University Nevada opened the school in 2004 to address the needs of the provider to patient crises and the underserved community. It is located in Henderson, a community immediately south of Las Vegas.
Primary responsibilities include teaching and evaluating students, serving as a student advisor, and serving as a member of committees essential to the functioning of the program. Prior experience with academic and curriculum coordination as well as program evaluation is desirable. Full-time faculty are encouraged to participate in clinical practice to maintain clinical skills and to ensure quality of teaching. One day of release time per week is available to full-time faculty who secure clinical practice.
This position requires a current NCCPA certification and bachelor's degree. A master's degree is preferred. Significant teaching experience and prior administrative experience is highly desirable. Eligibility for licensure in the state of Nevada is required. This position is eligible for rank and promotion assignment as outlined in university-wide Rank and Promotion Guidelines.
