Countless veterans were exposed to carcinogenic asbestos during their time in the military and are at risk of developing mesothelioma, a fatal cancer. Thousands of veterans are diagnosed each year, and 30% happen to be Navy veterans. Vets who served in WWII are considered to be among the most risk, but veterans of recent conflicts, including those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, are also at risk for asbestos cancer. To learn more about this and other veteran health risks, please visit the Veteran Health section on Mesothelioma.com.
